Meet Jim Alvino...

Thank you for the opportunity to introduce myself as a Realtor with the Prudential California Realty team of Huntington Beach. I look forward to servicing all of your real estate needs in Huntington Beach and surrounding areas in the highest tradition of excellence, ethics, and professionalism that our office represents.

My wife Margaret and I moved to Huntington Beach in 1996 -- I'm originally from New Jersey and she is from New Mexico -- and a few years later we bought our first home from a Prudential California Realty agent. (My daughter Jaimi moved to southern California in 2000 and currently works for Sony in Culver City.) Our expericence as a first-time homebuyer couldn't have been better, and that's why I'm with Prudential -- outstanding agents, outstanding office, and outstanding service!

Prior to launching my real estate career, I had been the chief executive of several for-profit and non-profit national organizations on behalf of students, parents and teachers. My specialty areas included education for gifted kids; strategic planning & management, and creative problem solving -- the latter two areas being essential ingredients in the home buying and selling processes. These previous life experiences give me an exceptional background for meeting your real estate needs in Huntington Beach.

I have a Ph.D. in philosophy, have written two books on parenting, am a certified meditation teacher, and -- when I was... say, "a little younger" -- I earned a second-degree black belt in karate. These days, my wife and I train together for the annual Pike's Peak Ascent in Manitou Springs, CO. We recently returned from the 50th Anniversary event, and it was awesome. Our training often includes walking the 13+ mile beach path from Seal Beach to Balboa. You can be sure I'll go the extra distance for you!
